Croatia futsal team drawn in Group A with Latvia, Georgia, and France for the 2026 European Championship.
Croatia opens against France on January 21 at 17:00, faces Georgia on January 25 at 14:00, and closes group play versus Latvia on January 28 at 17:30, all at Arena Riga. The top two teams from each group advance to quarterfinals on January 31-February 1 (Riga, Kaunas, Ljubljana), semifinals February 4 (Ljubljana), and final/third-place match February 7 (Ljubljana).
Group B features Lithuania, Armenia, Czech Republic, Ukraine; Group C has Slovenia, Belarus, Spain, Belgium; Group D includes Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Poland. The tournament spans Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovenia from January 21 to February 7.
Marinko Mavrović expressed satisfaction with avoiding Spain and Portugal, noting France as a strong draw but manageable, Georgia as analyzable, and Latvia’s quality under Italian coach Massimiliano Bellarte; he views Croatia as competitive with Group B teams and recalls silver with U-19 in Riga 2019.
