MILLION-EURO BID FOR SOLDO LANDS AT MAKSIMIR: SIGMA PUSH, DINAMO WANT MORE, AND THE PLAYER ISN’T RUSHING
Czech club Sigma Olomouc has continued its push in the Croatian market and, after signing Fabijan Krivak from Lokomotiva for around €2.5 million, it has now turned its attention to Dinamo Zagreb. An official offer of €1.3 million has arrived for Marko Soldo (22), with indications that the Czechs could raise it toward €2 million.
Even though Soldo has had limited minutes this autumn—9 appearances, 292 minutes in total, with 1 goal and one assist—Sigma have been tracking him since his time at Osijek, where he made a strong impression last season.
Dinamo, for their part, brought him back via a previously agreed buy-back clause (around €1 million), after Osijek had earlier paid €400,000.
According to the report, the move is not close to being finalized for two main reasons:
- Dinamo wants a higher fee and is not convinced they should sell a player they still see as a project with clear upside. Within the squad, Soldo is viewed as one of the closest profile fits to captain Josip Mišić.
- Soldo himself isn’t thrilled about leaving: he believes he can convince head coach Mario Kovačević and earn a bigger role at Dinamo.
A bid of €1.3 million—possibly rising to €2 million—looks attractive for a player with limited game time. Still, Dinamo reportedly values Soldo as more than a rotation option: a defensive midfielder with size and duel strength who can add stability and relieve Mišić when needed.
Soldo is under contract with Dinamo until summer 2029, which gives the club a strong negotiating position—and explains why there’s no rush to say “yes.”
