Mladost volleyball players successfully opened the final series and took the first step towards a national championship title, defeating Dinamo in the House of Volleyball.
The duel lasted only three sets, suggesting a convincing victory for the home team at the final’s opening. However, the first set was not easy – Dinamo held the advantage until 18:17, when Mladost took the lead for the first time. The key moment occurred after three consecutive service errors by Dinamo, which threw them out of rhythm, and Mladost closed the set in their favor with a series of five points.
The second set was decided much earlier, mostly thanks to Dinamo’s new mistakes. Instead of winning points, they lost them in a row.
Despite the opponents’ mistakes, Mladost played an excellent game. Leonarda Grabić stood out, who was once again the most effective player of the match. Whenever a critical point had to be won, Grabić was a safe solution, and Ana Ištuk and Tonka Bošnjak also made a significant contribution.
The third set was the most even—Dinamo managed to make up for a three-point deficit in the end (22:19), but Mladost remained composed and calmly ended the match, not allowing any surprises.
It is worth noting that Mladost had more time to rest before the final because they settled the semi-final against Brdo in two games, while Dinamo had to play a decisive third game against Ribola Kaštela only on Saturday.
The final series moves to the Dinamo Hall in Peščenica, where the second game is scheduled for Friday.
