CROATIA CONVINCINGLY DEFEATS SLOVENIA IN ZABOK

Croatia futsal team convincingly defeated Slovenia 4:1 in a friendly match in Zabok on October 20, 2025, as part of preparations for the European Championship.

Slovenia struck first through Čop, but Croatia responded strongly before halftime with Duje Kustura equalizing off a David Mataja shot rebound and captain Franco Jelovčić curling a superb chipped finish into the top corner. In the second half, Mataja assisted Niko Vukmir for 3:1, and Jelovčić sealed it with a long-range strike; Ante Piplica made crucial saves.

Vitor Hugo De Lima Da Silva debuted for Croatia. The event featured a minute’s silence for Željko Rumbak and Dean Šćulac, organized by the Krapina-Zagorje County Football Association under president Stjepan Merkaš, with HNS advisor Zorislav Srebrić present.

Croatia overcame a challenging start to dominate; Slovenia: Peček, Čop, Osredkar, Hozjan, Janeš, Turk, Đurić, Vesel, Kneževič, Bukovec, Trdin, Berzelak, Rajter, Suban.
