Croatian football captain Luka Modrić again played a key role in his Real Madrid team’s championship victory.
In his first appearance in the new year, 2025, Luka Modrić entered the league away game against Valencia in the 80th minute of the match, when the Royal Club was losing 1:0 and had one player less after Vini Jr. received a red card.
Five minutes later, he finished the action to equalize at 1:1 with Bellingham‘s assistance. The English footballer scored the winning goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
It was Modrić’s first goal in La Liga this season,. Real Madrid is the leader, with two points more than Atletico Madrid and a game more on the table.
