Lovro Majer shone in Wolfsburg’s big 9-0 victory over Hemelingen in the first round of the DFB Cup. The Croatian midfielder scored a penalty goal in the 39th minute and provided two assists, all within just one hour of play. Majer assisted the goals of Andreas Skov Olsen and Dženan Pejčinović. The coach substituted him shortly after Wolfsburg took a 4-0 lead, rewarding him for an excellent performance at the start of the season.
