PAŠALIĆ ASSIST FOR THE WIN, ŠVERKO’S FIRST IN SERIE A

Atalanta beat Empoli thanks to the vital contribution of Marijo Pašalić, and Venezia beat Cagliari thanks to the league debut of Marin Šverk.

Atalanta’s football players took the very top of Serie A thanks to the home victory against Empoli, where the assistant for the winning goal (3:2) of the team from Bergamo was Mario Pašalić, a Croatian national representative.

De Ketelaere scored in the 86th minute, and Pašalić played the entire game as the Atalanta captain.

Venezia beat Cagliari 2:1, and the scorer of the second goal for the hosts was Marin Šverko, a Croatian defender with more than 20 appearances for the junior national team who defends the colors of the Italian team after coming from Groningen.

It was his first goal in Serie A, and he played the whole game.
