IVAN PERIŠIĆ CAME OFF THE BENCH AND ASSISTED IN PSV’S HARD-FOUGHT VICTORY

PSV secured a dramatic 4:3 home win against Heracles in Eindhoven during matchday 16 of the Eredivisie, with Croatian international Ivan Perišić playing a key role off the bench by providing an assist.

PSV took a quick 2:0 lead through two first-half penalties converted by Pepi and Saibari in the 20th and 32nd minutes. Heracles pulled one back via Hornkamp’s spot-kick in the 6th minute of first-half stoppage time, making it 2:1 at halftime.

After an hour of play, the visitors equalized at 2:2 with a goal from Kulenović, signaling a tough fight for PSV’s three points. Perišić entered the game immediately after that goal, bolstering the hosts’ attack.

Just minutes after the substitution, Perišić assisted Veerman in the 70th minute for a 3:2 lead. Heracles fought back once more, with Hornkamp scoring his second in the 73rd to tie it at 3:3.

PSV ultimately prevailed, as Til netted the winner in the 81st minute, with the final score 4:3.

This victory keeps PSV firmly at the top with 43 points, nine clear of second-placed Feyenoord (who have a game in hand), while NEC sits third on 28 points and Heracles languish in 16th with 14.
