The Executive Committee of the Croatian Football Federation has appointed Iva Olivari as the new Deputy General Secretary, following a proposal by CFF president Marijan Kustić.

Olivari has worked at CFF since 1992, holding multiple roles within the national teams and international relations departments. Since 2014, she has served as team manager of Croatia’s senior men’s national team, attending five FIFA World Cups and six UEFA EURO with the squad.
Her career has also included major sporting milestones: with the national team she won silver at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, bronze at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and silver in the 2023 UEFA Nations League. She received state decorations tied to those achievements (including the Order of the Croatian Trefoil and the Homeland Thanksgiving Commemorative Medal).
In explaining the decision, Kustić emphasized Olivari’s decades-long contribution and international standing—highlighting her extensive experience with Croatian national teams and her work as a highly regarded UEFA match delegate with strong ties across FIFA and other federations.
As a UEFA delegate, Olivari has been selected for some of the sport’s biggest women’s events—being the first Croatian official to serve as a delegate at finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the UEFA Women’s EURO, and the Finalissima. She also completed the UEFA Certificate in Football Management in 2014.
Despite the promotion, Olivari will continue in her current role as team manager of the senior national team. In her statement, she thanked the CFF leadership for their trust, said she intends to use her international relationships to support the federation’s work, and noted she looks forward to helping the new General Secretary Josip Tomaško while sharing the experience she has gained across nearly 35 years at the federation.
