According to the latest information, Martin Baturina is still one of Dinamo’s most wanted players, and many European giants such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG, Inter and Bayern are showing interest in his transfer this summer. Dinamo has so far rejected significant offers, including those from Fiorentina, which reached 20 million euros with additional bonuses.
However, with the arrival of Zvonimir Boban at the head of the club, the situation changes. Boban, who officially assumes the position of President of the Management Board on June 1, announced a new sports policy with an emphasis on stability, domestic staff and well-thought-out management of the playing staff. According to available analyses, Boban will try to keep Baturina for at least one more season, aware of his importance to Dinamo’s game and the potential increase in value, especially ahead of next year’s World Cup.
Boban is known as an advocate of selling players at the moment when they reach the peak of their market value, but he also understands the importance of sports continuity and the role that Baturina can play as the leader of the new generation of Dinamo and the Croatian national team. The club plans to offer Baturina a new, significantly improved contract, which would be a clear signal of their desire to keep him.
Although the interest of European clubs is extremely high and the offers could be very tempting, Boban’s strategy and the current need for stability in the club provide a realistic basis for a scenario in which the transfer of Martin Baturina will be stopped at least until the summer of 2026. The decision will, of course, also depend on the amount of offers, the ambitions of the player himself and Dinamo’s sports results, but with Boban at the helm, Dinamo has a clear intention to keep its most valuable player for another season.
