The Croatian women’s national football team faces complex challenges in the UEFA Nations League. After three games, they are at the bottom of group B4 without points won and with a goal difference of 1-10. They suffered their last defeat against Albania, who won convincingly 4-0 in Shkodër.
The Czech Republic and Ukraine currently lead the group with six points each from two appearances, while Albania is third with three points. Croatia is the last without points.
The Croatian women’s soccer players have an opportunity to improve their impression in just four days. On April 8, they will host the Albanian national team at the stadium in Rudeš, Zagreb. This match will be crucial to trying to win the first points and regain confidence.
Despite the negative result series, coach Nenad Gračan and the players remain motivated and believe they can achieve a positive result in continuing the competition.
- The Albanian football players took the lead in the 14th minute with a goal by Fortesa Berisha, while Alma Hila increased the advantage ten minutes later
- Croatia was weakened further in the 66th minute when Janja Čanjevac received a second yellow card, leaving the team with ten players on the field
- Megi Doci scored the third goal for Albania in the 72nd minute, and Klea Hamonikaj closed the match with a goal in the first minute of stoppage time
