The players of ŽNK Agram from Zagreb wrote the history of Croatian women’s football, winning their first national championship title. This historic success was achieved in the 2024/25 season, and the title was secured even five rounds before the end of the competition, with a victory over Hajduk from Split (3:0) in Siget.
A historic moment and celebration
Agram became the champion of Croatia at the senior level for the first time, breaking the long-standing dominance of Osijek, which has won as many as 25 titles to date.
The celebration culminated after the last round, when Agram convincingly defeated Osijek 4:0 at the Hrvatski Dragovoljac Stadium in Siget and lifted the trophy in front of many fans.
In the last round, Agram already scored three goals in the first 20 minutes (scorers: Maja Joščak, Ana Dujmović, Tereza Bednarova’s own goal), and Joščak made it 4:0 with her second goal.
Domination throughout the season
Agram mathematically secured the title already on May 18, five rounds before the end, with a victory over Hajduk (3:0). The female scorers were Maja Joščak, Jasna Đoković, and Ana Dujmović.
They ended the season with as many as 24 points ahead of the second-placed Osijek, which testifies to the absolute dominance of coach Ivica Milković’s team.
During the season, Agram demonstrated exceptional stability and quality, with winter signings playing a key role, including former Osijek players.
Success in all categories
In addition to the senior women, the titles of Croatian champions were also won by the cadets and pioneers of Agram, which made the club the first in the history of women’s football in Croatia to win titles in all three categories in the same season.
The Cadets continued their dominance, winning their fifth straight title.
Despite its historical success, Agram is facing challenges – the club does not have its stadium and must rent a field for every game, which further complicates the organization, especially before European performances.
As champions of Croatia, Agram will debut in the UEFA Champions League, and due to the lack of an adequate stadium in Zagreb, European matches will be played outside the capital.
We are not even aware of how big a deal this is. The title has given us more tasks at the moment than an opportunity to rest and celebrate, but that will come soon – said club president Nikola Domitrović
This season will be written in golden letters in the history of ŽNK Agram and Croatian women’s football. The title won, together with the successes of the younger categories, confirms the strength and potential of the club, and the Agramerka women face new challenges on the European scene.
