The European Handball Federation has announced on its official website the start of a new competition, the EHF Youth Club Trophy, which will become the first club competition of younger ages at the EHF level.
The first tournaments will be held in April of this year, and 16 teams will participate in the four qualifying tournaments. RK Zagreb will be among the participants of the premier edition of the EHF Youth Club Trophy. Players under 18 (born after July 1, 2006) will compete in the competition, and the tournaments will be held in four qualifying places. The winners of the four qualifying tournaments will advance to the final tournament in Cologne in June 2025.
Handball players from Zagreb will compete in the qualifying tournament in Veszprem, Hungary. Their first game will be against their OTP Bank—PICK Szeged peers.

The final tournament will be played during the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 weekend, 14/15 June 2025. It will be played on Sunday, June 15, in the morning at the LANXESS Arena, before the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 bronze medal game.
