The Croatian women’s basketball team has learned which opponents they will face in the qualifiers for EuroBasket 2027. At the draw held in Munich, Croatia was placed in Group F, alongside Greece, Denmark, and North Macedonia.

Qualification Group F promises interesting and challenging matchups, as Croatia will face teams with different playing styles. Greece is traditionally known for its physically strong and tactically mature approach, and Denmark has shown progress and ambition in recent cycles. At the same time, North Macedonia generally relies on a mix of experienced players and the enthusiasm of younger squad members.

The draw took place after teams were seeded according to the FIBA world ranking. Croatia was in the second seeding pot. A total of 27 teams are participating in the first qualification round, divided into six groups of four teams each and one group of three teams. The EuroBasket 2027 final tournament will be hosted by Belgium, Finland, Lithuania, and Sweden, who have directly qualified as hosts.

The first qualification games are scheduled for November this year, and the first phase is expected to conclude after March 2026. According to initial comments from the coaching staff, the Croatian players are satisfied with the draw but aware that no match will be easy. They are particularly cautious regarding the fighting spirit of the Greek team. Still, they are also ready to confirm their role as favorites, especially in home games against Denmark and North Macedonia.
