Samy Mmaee is leaving GNK Dinamo Zagreb on loan to the Azerbaijani club Qarabag. The loan will last for two years, and Mmaee will remain a Dinamo player formally, as his contract runs until 2028.

Qarabag will cover 70% of his annual salary, which amounts to about €560,000, while Dinamo will continue to pay the remaining €240,000 per season. The loan agreement does not include a purchase option, which means that, for now, Mmaee will remain a Dinamo player after the loan expires.

Dinamo paid €800,000 for his transfer last summer, and his annual salary is among the highest in the club. The club made this decision due to high costs and the fact that Mmaee did not meet expectations. He played 21 matches and scored one goal for Dinamo in one season.

This arrangement brings significant financial relief to Dinamo, while Mmaee gets a chance for a fresh start with the Azerbaijani champions.
