Croatian national team player Ivan Perišić contributed greatly to PSV‘s victory over Excelsior in the Dutch Cup‘s round of 16.
On Tuesday evening, PSV played against Excelsior on their home field, who took a 3:1 lead in the 80th minute and were close to victory.
That’s when Vatreni’s offensive player, Ivan Perišić, entered the game. In the 86th minute, he assisted Pepi in reducing the deficit to 3:2. In the seventh minute of extra time, PSV tied the game at 3:3 and won overtime.
Pepi then made it 4:3 with another goal, and Perišić made it 5:3 in the 110th minute and almost sealed the victory and the passage of the Eindhoven team to the quarterfinals of the Cup. In the end, Excelsior was only able to reduce the defeat to the final 5:4.
