Novo Vrijeme from Makarska is the new Croatian Futsal champion! In the decisive fifth game of the final playoff series, in front of a packed Apfel Arena, Makarani convincingly defeated Osijek Kandit with a score of 5:1 and won their fourth national championship title, the first after four years of waiting, with a total of 3:2 victories.

It was clear from the very beginning that the hosts would leave nothing to chance. They took the lead in the fourth minute when Lennon put Novo Vrijeme in the lead with a precise shot. Just 30 seconds later, Savio increased the score to 2:0. Osijek Kandit, who reached the finals for the first time in their history this season, reduced the score through Rick in the 18th minute, but that was the guests’ only goal.

In the continuation, Makarani continued to dominate – Jelavić increased the score to 3:1 in the 31st minute. Then Savio practically solved the question of the winner with his second goal in the 33rd minute. Lennon made the final 5:1 with his second goal.

With this title, Novo Vrijeme ended the two-year dominance of Futsal Dinamo, which failed to reach the finals this season. The final was additionally characterized by the fact that teams that were not among the best placed in the regular season made it to the finals, which testifies to a highly even and exciting end to the championship.

For Novo Vrijeme, this is the fourth Croatian championship title, following their previous wins in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons. And 2021/22.
