The draw for the preliminary and main rounds of the UEFA Futsal Champions League was held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, and the Croatian champion Novo Vrijeme once again received the honor of hosting one of the most essential futsal tournaments in Europe. From October 28 to November 2, Makarska will host top European teams in the battle for a spot among the 16 best clubs on the Continent.

Group 4 – Elite opponents at the foot of Biokovo
Novo Vrijeme will play in group 4 against:

Sporting CP (Portugal) – two-time European champion (2019, 2021) and five-time European runner-up. Sporting is one of the most prestigious clubs in European futsal, and over the last few years, it has consistently been at the top of the competition. The Portuguese have already played against Makarano twice and won convincingly both times.

Kairat Almaty (Kazakhstan) – current European runner-up, two-time European champion (2013, 2015), and finalist in 2019 and 2025. Kairat is known for its “Brazilian school” of futsal and a powerful staff, and last season in Croatia, they defeated both of the then-best domestic clubs.

FC Priština (Kosovo) – the champion of Kosovo and nominally an outsider of the group, but a team that improves year after year and can be an unpleasant opponent. It is against Priština that Makarani will look for key points to advance.

The system of competition and chances of Novo Vrijeme

Three of the four teams from each of the four groups of “Road A” pass, which significantly increases the chances of reaching the round of 16. Novo Vrijeme is part of the third-strong group, and UEFA has once again demonstrated its trust as a host, recognizing them as one of the best organizers in the European futsal elite.

The first matches of the round of 16 will be played at the end of November, and the quarterfinals and the final tournament are scheduled for the beginning of 2026. Makarani will once again have the opportunity to showcase their quality and organizational skills in front of the home crowd, and placing among the top 16 would be a great success. Each step would represent a bonus and a reward for their effort and investment in the club.
