    MARIJAN KUSTIĆ RECEIVED A NEW MANDATE AT THE HEAD OF THE CROATIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION

    Marijan Kustić, the current president of the Croatian Football Association, earned a new four-year mandate at the head of the umbrella organization of Croatian football with unanimous support at the Electoral Assembly, held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb.

    At the Assembly, the new HNS Executive Committee was unanimously elected, which still consists of Đuro Bukvić, Nenad Črnko, Nenad Horvatić, Davor Ivić, Ante Kulušić, Josip Kuterovac, Drago Lucić, Robert Markulin, Damir Mišković, Slavko Prišćan, Božidar Šikić, Ile Topuzović, Ante Vučemilović-Šimunović, Darko Raić Sudar and Mario Smodlaka. The new member of the Executive Board is Kristijan Antolović, who replaced former member Mata Kljajić in the executive branch.

    The first vice-president of HNS remains Ante Vučemilović-Šimunović, and the new vice-presidents are Nenad Horvatić, Davor Ivić, and Ile Topuzović, Damir Mišković remains vice-president as in the last convocation.

    I am honored and proud to be the president of the Croatian Football Association. To make these kinds of results, to launch this many projects in infrastructure, that’s something great. I would like to thank presidents Čeferin and Infantino for the great support we have from UEFA and FIFA. Of course, I am happy about the project of building a football camp, about which perhaps there was not much optimism at the start. I said that we will not lay foundation stones but be specific. I would like to thank the Government of the Republic of Croatia, which provided great support, as well as the city of Velika Gorica, which was unique in supporting this project. I believe that we will start the works at the beginning of April, and that is something truly special. When I received your trust three and a half years ago, I announced this, and I am glad that we are fulfilling that promise. The unity we have shown in these four years is a great pleasure for me, and they lead to such results.     The assembly was graced by the presence of Fifa representative Marion Gavat, regional coordinator in the department for national associations, head of the department for national associations of UEFA Mario Georgiou, general secretary of the Croatian Olympic Committee Siniša Krajač, honorary presidents of HNS Branko Mikša and Mladen Vedriš, coach of Vatreni Zlatko Dalić, executive vice-president of the Croatian Water Polo Association Perica Bukić and president of the Croatian Basketball Association Nikola Rukavina.

    It is a great pleasure to be together again, on this day when another sport has achieved the results that we are continuously achieving. Croatian sport is on the rise again, from water polo and skiing onwards, and we can be proud to be at the head of that column that gives special dignity to our country abroad – Mladen Vedriš

    It is always a pleasure for me to come to the HNS assembly because its awards speak volumes about the work of the HNS. The HOO and the Croatian Olympic family respect your results, which is proven by the fact that your president became the vice-president of our organization, which is an honor for us, and I believe you too.
