IVAN PERIŠIĆ SCORED FOR ARSENAL, MODRIĆ AND KOVAČ CELEBRATED THE GOAL

Croatian national team player Ivan Perišić shook the net on his PSV’s farewell to the Champions League, while Luka Modrić and Niko Kovač continue the competition.

After a heavy home defeat against Arsenal, PSV played a 2:2 draw on the road in London. Ivan Perišić scored the Dutch first goal, in the 18th minute of the game, with a nice shot into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area. He played until the 68th minute, when De Jong replaced him.

Fire captain Luka Modrić was in the starting eleven of Real Madrid on the road at the city rival Atletico, and he played until the 65th minute. With Gallagher’s early goal, Atletico made up for the deficit from the first game, but the Royal Club still secured a place in the quarterfinals, with a better penalty shootout.

Under Nika Kovač’s leadership, Borussia Dortmund defeated Lille 2:1 with a turnaround and a total score of 3:2, also won a place among the quarter-finalists.

On Tuesday, the Bayern of Josip Stanišić and Gabriel Vidović also passed the round of 16, overcoming Bayer on the road in Leverkusen (3:0, 2:0), with the Croatian defender playing the second half.

Arsenal Real Madrid (Modrić), Paris SG Aston Villa, Barcelona Borussia Dortmund (Kovač) and Bayern (Stanišić, Vidović) – Inter will compete for the Champions League semi-finals.
