Ivan Bebek received great recognition and was appointed VAR assistant referee in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The final game between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea is played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in front of more than 80 thousand spectators. Bebek will be the video assistant to the main VAR referee, Bastian Dankert from Germany, in the VAR room, and Tatiana Guzman from Nicaragua will work alongside them. The main judge of the final is Alireza Faghani from Australia, and the assistants are Anton Shchetinin and Ashley Beecham, while the fourth judge is Facundo Tello from Argentina.

Bebek ended his refereeing career on the field in 2023, but continued to work as a VAR referee at the domestic and international level. FIFA recognized him as one of the most reliable VAR experts, which is confirmed by his inclusion among the 24 selected VAR referees for the first expanded Club World Cup.
