Croatia to Host Women’s European Futsal Championship!

The UEFA Executive Committee has decided that Croatia will host the next Women’s European Futsal Championship, which will take place at the Gradski vrt Hall in Osijek from March 14 to 21, 2027. This will be the first time the tournament is expanded to feature eight of the best national teams from across Europe, up from four in previous editions.

Previous hosts have included Portugal (2019, 2022) and Hungary (2023), and Spain has won all three previous titles. Croatia will now have the opportunity to host a UEFA national team tournament final for the fifth time, having previously hosted the Regions’ Cup (2009), the Futsal Euro (2012), the U-17 European Championship (2017), and the U-19 Futsal Euro (2023).

Marijan Kustić, president of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and UEFA Executive Committee member, expressed great pride in being chosen and looks forward to welcoming Europe’s best female futsal players to Osijek, highlighting both the sport’s rich tradition in Croatia and the expected boost to the growth of women’s futsal. He assured that the organizational team will deliver a top-level tournament, building on the success of previous futsal finals held in Croatia. He also emphasized the warm hospitality and natural beauty of Osijek, Slavonia, and Croatia that all participants will experience.
