CROATIA EDGE CLOSER TO WORLD CUP WITH 3-0 WIN OVER GIBRALTAR

Croatia’s national team defeated Gibraltar 3:0 in Varaždin on October 12, 2025, inching closer to World Cup 2026 qualification with five wins from six matches.

Marco Pašalić assisted Martin Fruk’s header for 1:0 in the 30th minute; Luka Sučić tapped in the rebound for 2:0 in the 78th minute after a penalty save on Lovro Majer by goalkeeper Hankins; Martin Erlić headed the third in stoppage time (90+6′) off Majer’s cross. All three goals marked debuts for Fruk, Sučić, and Erlić internationally; no yellow cards issued.
