Marinko Mavrović’s players scored through Duje Kustura (5′), Jakov Hrstić (15′), Romeo Sušac (15′), Kristijan Čekol (27′), Nikola Gudasić (28′), and Vitor de Lima (33′); Montenegro replied with Spasojević’s goal (34′).

Croatia competes in Group A with Latvia, Georgia, and France; matches against France (Jan 21, 17:00), Georgia (Jan 25, 14:00), and Latvia (Jan 28, 17:30) at Arena Riga. The next friendly against Montenegro was in Dubrovnik on November 12.
