One of the world’s most renowned brands becomes a partner of the Croatian national football team and the Croatian Football Federation

In Vodice yesterday, a sponsorship agreement was ceremonially signed between the Croatian Football Federation (CFF) and Coca-Cola in Croatia, under which one of the world’s most renowned brands became a partner of HNS and the Croatian national football team. The agreement was signed by Marijan Kustić, President of the Croatian Football Federation, and on behalf of Coca-Cola in Croatia by Gjorgji Hristov, General Manager of Coca-Cola Adria, and Amela Čengić, Director of the Marketing and Commercial Excellence Department at Coca-Cola HBC Croatia, in the presence of Ante Cicvarić, CFF Marketing Director. Through this sponsorship, Coca-Cola becomes the official refreshment, and Powerade the official sports drink of the Vatreni.
The ceremonial signing took place as part of Coca-Cola in Croatia’s annual internal employee conference. On that occasion, a panel discussion was also held featuring Marijan Kustić, President of CFF, and Zlatko Dalić, Head Coach of the Croatian national team, focusing on leadership, motivation, and building unity within teams.
The Croatian national team is the most recognizable Croatian ‘product’ in the world, and Coca-Cola is probably the most recognizable global brand, so I believe we have agreed on a truly global and strong partnership. I thank Mr. Hristov and the leadership of Coca-Cola in Croatia for the trust shown, and I am pleased to welcome Coca-Cola into the Croatian football family. This cooperation will enable us to make additional investments in the development of football at all levels, and through Powerade we will provide our squads with a top-quality isotonic sports drink for training sessions and matches – said Marija Kustić, CFF President

Gjorgji Hristov, General Manager of Coca-Cola Adria, emphasized the importance of the partnership with CFF:
For decades, Coca-Cola has been a proud sponsor of the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Championship, actively contributing to the promotion of football worldwide. We are extremely proud to extend that commitment to Croatian football as well by signing a five-year sponsorship agreement with the Croatian Football Federation—the umbrella organization that plays a key role in the development of football in Croatia.
A partnership with the country’s largest sports federation is a natural continuation of our long-term commitment to values that connect people and evoke strong emotions. Through this sponsorship, and through our Coca-Cola and Powerade brands, we want to support athletes at all levels, as well as the system behind their success, drawing on the strength of our brands and our rich global experience in sports partnerships.
Powerade, as a brand dedicated to hydration and sports performance, plays an important role in supporting players on and off the pitch, while Coca-Cola continues to create moments of connection, celebration, and shared passion among fans around the world. We wish the Croatian national team great success and top results in the upcoming competitions.”
We are pleased to support the work of the Croatian Football Federation and the Croatian national team, which not only delivers outstanding world-class results but also symbolizes unity, perseverance, and a fearless character. From match to match, the Vatreni inspire us with their energy, persistence, and results, and as their new partner we look forward to creating many more great moments together – said Amela Čengić, Director of the Marketing and Commercial Excellence Department at Coca-Cola HBC Croatia
At the end of the ceremony, CFF President Kustić presented Coca-Cola’s partners in Croatia with special jerseys of the current third-ranked national team in the world, bearing the names “Coca-Cola” and “Powerade.”
