Italian media report a stunning offer for Dinamo’s Moris Valinčić – Inter sees him as the perfect replacement for Dumfries.
The winter transfer window is approaching, and Inter Milan is urgently looking for a solution following the injury to Denzel Dumfries. According to SportMediaset, the ideal candidate is 23‑year‑old Dinamo Zagreb right-back Moris Valinčić, valued at around €10 million. His return to the pitch is expected in January, in sync with the opening of the Italian mercato, making him a strong fit for Inter’s 3‑5‑2 system.
Valinčić joined Dinamo from Istra 1961 last summer for €1.3 million and quickly impressed under Mario Kovačević, making 14 appearances in the league and Europa League before suffering a metatarsal fracture in late October against Cibalia.
Agent Adrian Aliaj confirms interest from Inter, as well as Milan, Lazio, and Napoli. The asking price is set at €16–18 million, though a January move seems unlikely given his recovery — a summer transfer is more realistic.
Valinčić is under contract until 2029, with Istra 1961 entitled to a 15% sell‑on fee, which could secure Dinamo a substantial profit.
Valinčić is currently wearing a protective boot, with complete training expected to resume in mid‑January following a three‑month break (without surgery), similar to Petar Sučić’s recovery timeline. While Inter continues to monitor him as an option, the player’s camp views Serie A as the preferred destination. No official offers have been made yet, but if rumours become reality, this could be Dinamo’s next major export to Italy’s elite, following Sučić’s footsteps.
