MARTIN BATURINA SIGNED FOR ITALIAN COMO

Croatian national team member and former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Martin Baturina has officially become a new player of the Italian first-division club Como 1907. This transfer represents the most significant incoming transfer in the club’s history, coming from Lombardy, and one of the most significant outgoing transfers from HNL in recent years.

Transfer details

The value of the transfer is fixed at 17 million euros, with a possible bonus of 5 million euros, which could bring the total to 22 million euros. Baturina has signed a contract until the summer of 2030.

This is the most significant incoming transfer in Como’s history, surpassing the previous record of €15 million for Maxence Caqueret.

Dinamo will receive the amount in installments over five years, and part of the compensation (20%) belongs to Baturina and his representatives.

The context and significance of the transfer

Baturina will play in Como under the guidance of the club’s coach and co-owner, the legendary Cesc Fabregas, and the former Rijeka captain, Ivan Smolčić, is waiting for him in the team.

Como finished 10th in Serie A last season and announced ambitious goals, including competing for European positions.

He played 165 games for Dinamo’s first team, scored 22 goals and registered 39 assists, and was one of the club’s most important players.

The transfer of Martin Baturina to Como marks the beginning of a new career phase for one of the most talented Croatian midfielders. It is expected that under the leadership of Fabregas and in the ambitious project of Coma, they will have the opportunity to progress further and confirm their potential on the big European stage.
