ŽNK AGRAM IN THE SECOND PRELIMINARY ROUND OF THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AGAINST WELSH OR IRISH WOMEN
The football players of ŽNK Agram Zagreb, the current Croatian champions, have learned their opponents for the second round of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers. In his historic European debut, Agram will play against the winner of the match between Cardiff City (Wales) and Athlone Town (Ireland) in the final of the mini-tournament of the first preliminary round.

Agram advances to the semi-finals of the mini-tournament (Group 5) and directly enters the final, which will be played on August 3.
The opponent will be better from the match between Cardiff City (Wales) and Athlone Town (Ireland), which is scheduled for July 30.
The mini-tournament will be hosted by Athlone Town, which means Agram will be playing in Ireland.
This is Agram’s first appearance in the Champions League, following their breakthrough victory over Osijek, which ended the latter’s 14-year dominance and brought the title to Zagreb for the first time in 19 years.
The club finished the season with a 24-point advantage over Osijek, and the European debut comes as a reward for an exceptional season.
Agram has a real chance to qualify for the next stage of the UEFA Champions League, but they face a demanding test against the representatives of Wales or Ireland on the away field. Regardless of the outcome, participation in European competitions represents a significant step forward for Zagreb women’s soccer.
